In this short scene, we get a brief description of the Gauna. It's about 2.5 km wide and has about 500 to 1000 linked cores. The Gauna is covered in gas, so it's hard to get a good look at it from the air. We're told that there are a lot of Gauna flying around, but they're not responding to our fire. They need to get closer to the core that's in the middle of the pack, because that'll give them a better chance of hitting back. They're also told that a cluster ship has just launched a bunch of gauna, and that they can't get close enough to destroy it. They have to get out of the way, because the cluster ship is coming after them too. They all run around like crazy, trying to figure out how to get away from the gauna. They don't know how to do it, because there are so many of them.
