About This Chapter
The next generation of the gardes is planned, and the protagonist is proud of his achievements. He compares the protagonist's victory over the gauna to his own triumph over the kunato. The protagonist tells the captain that he is starving. The captain tells him that the general reaction was good, and that the protagonist may have been set up for this. He tells the protagonist that tomorrow he is going to drag the protagonist out of the room, physically if he has to. He says that he thought his neck broke when he was floating in the zero gravity of the ship. The immortal crew has again launched a pre-emptive attack, and they have put the ordinary crew in danger. They have more than ten more taking turns, and there are two more unidentified bodies on the horizon.
