Back at home, the narrator is having a hard time getting over the fact that Zhan has lied to him. He feels like he's been cheated out of his money, his body, and his heart. He's going to go back to sleep, but he can't stop thinking about Zhan. The narrator calls for his family's driver to come pick him up at the side building. The driver is late, so he doesn't have time to wait for the driver to arrive, but the narrator still has some important business to get done. He asks the driver if he heard everything, and the driver says that he heard the robot talking to Zhan, and that he'd never heard Zhan talk like that before. He also says that the other person in the robot's voice sounded like a woman, and then the narrator realizes that it's actually Zhan who's talking to him
