The narrator introduces us to Lu xi, a student at Kulu University. She's just finished her first term, and she's in love with the guy in her class, but she doesn't know if he's already engaged to another girl. She tells us that she'd rather be on a date with someone else before she leaves for college. The guy in the class teases her, and the narrator runs off to find a new friend. She introduces her new friend, who's named qiu, and then she introduces nan, who is also in Lu's class. qiu asks nan why he is there, and nan tells him that he wants to see how the class is going. . , qiu says that he'd like to meet up with dayang, the editor of aikan books, and they should go meet up together this weekend. Lu chimes in that the rumor in the school is that the guy with the guaranteed spot in the mathematics competition isn't qiu's boyfriend, but nan says that's not the case. He also says that jiang is amazing, and that qiu is a "dangerous woman" .
