About This Chapter
It's time for the play, and the students are all excited to be in it. Everyone is excited about the fact that they'll get to perform in front of the entire class, and they're also psyched about the opportunity to act together. Everyone's excited, except for the teacher, who's not happy about the casting. She's worried that the girl in the play will be too cute to play the role of the heroine, and she's even more worried about the teacher's reaction to the casting draw. The teacher is so upset that she can't stand the idea of the girl playing the heroine. The girl is so silly that she doesn't even make a tenth of the amount of cuteness that she has in the lead role. Everyone wants to know why she hasn't been hanging out with them lately. She tells the teacher that there's a language convention at school, so she can ask for her family's money to pay for the cost of the play. This is a good opportunity for her to get ahead in life, since she'll be able to use the money to buy herself a fancy new dress. But the teacher isn't happy about this, because she thinks that the girls are stealing her stuff. She asks the girls if they even deserve to be friends, and if they do, how could they call each other friends? The girls say that they didn't mean to do anything wrong, and then they all head off to eat dinner.
