About This Chapter
In this chapter, the second prince of the Parthians is introduced. He is the son of a soldier who was killed in battle three years ago. The second prince is a bastard, and he is angry that his father is still alive. He tells the prince that his friends have been killed because of the riot that took place on the day of the battle. The slave traders have also been killed. The prince says that he will be equal if he becomes a follower of the god of the gods, yalda-baoth. He says that if he ever feels that he needs to go to the castle, he should just throw away the thing like that. This is a reference to the fact that the king of the parthians, the lusi-tanian king, is forcing his mother to marry him. The parthian king is not likely to be able to force his wife to marry the king, because he is aninfidel. The Parthian prince tells him that he should tell the people of Pars that their goals are the same as those of the barbarians. He adds that once the pars have been fully converted, the barians will likely wipe out her culture. He warns the prince not to kill the king because his son and heir are still alive
