The man is a member of a criminal organization called the "bone-cutting monastery," which is notorious for manufacturing illegal drugs. The members of the monastery are all from different walks of life, and they conduct their activities in secrecy. The bone-cutting gang has agreed to sell human bones to the monastery, but the men from the monastery started firing when they met. They were attacked by the bone-cutters during the gunfight, and the bug swarms disrupted their plans to dispose of the gang. The gang is involved in a war between the bone cutters and the monastery. The only thing delaware wants to do is go straight to Kate and save her.
