The next morning, Kate finds that the apartment has been locked down because of a resettlement project. She tries to find out why the apartment is locked down, but she can't find a way to open the door from the outside. She's worried that the gang is developing the area where she's supposed to be looking for the murderer. She tells del that she doesn't want to risk her life to find the murderer, so she tells him to contact the gang members. The door is locked, and Kate wonders why it's locked in the first place. She realizes that the man in the photo was having a heart attack when his trunk tipped over and the photos scattered. She wonders if the man killed the woman in that photo.
