About This Chapter
Now that he thinks about it, he realizes that what he really wanted to hide was what he said back then, that the bone mask was really the cause of the murder of goa-ling. He's not sure if there's any evidence to back this up, but he's sure that it's just his imagination that's getting the better of him. He tells the captain that there are four large transactions to his account between the middle of last year and now, and two of them belong to an underground bank that is notorious for money-laundering. The captain says that he doesn't know what the other bank is for, and that he has no idea why he would transfer money from his account to someone else's. He also says that the suspect, diao-jianfa, has been taken to the interrogation rooms next door. He says that chen is refusing to cooperate, so they'll have to wait another 40 hours before they can find her. He asks the captain to go upstairs and talk to someone from the police economic investigation squad about the underground bank accounts. He wants to know if xiong-jinzhi is responsible for the murder, and if he was the first person in the village to believe that it was him. Then he asks if he connected hongxi to the victim. He admits that he was, but that he didn't tell the captain about the words, "bone helmet."
