The narrator tells us that the last person to vomit on him was his cousin, the deputy police chief of the city ofjianing. The two of them have a bad relationship, and the narrator says that he is a "glorified snitch" in his cousin's eyes. The narrator goes through the city's sewer system to hide his identity, but when he exits, the cousin vomits all over him out of nowhere. The rest of the prisoners still think of the cousin.
