Back at the pawn shop, Fang is still angry with the woman for groping him for the gloves last night. He goes to the police station to find out what happened. He finds out that the man who found the body wasn't a servant at the inn but a businessman from another town. The businessman told Fang that he found the corpse hanging from the door of the room next to the room where the body was being hanged. Fang thinks that the first witness's testimony is suspect because he saw the body shaking and then saw it shaking again. Fang decides to send his men to find the man.
