The father of the missing baby arrives at the house of his son's teacher. The captain welcomes him and asks him to interrogate the servants. The father asks why he hasn't started the investigation of the baby's disappearance yet. He tells the captain that the teacher is very intelligent and that if the baby isn't found, they can still blame the servants for the crime. He asks the captain to wait and see if the child can figure out a way to solve the case. The mother tells the father that the child found the baby missing from 3pm to 5pm. A maid went to get food for the baby, and another maid was with the baby in his bedroom. The servant who was sweeping the garden and the maid who was doing the laundry in the back yard all saw the murderer enter the bedroom.
