It's been a while since we've heard from the manager, but now he's back. He's got a bunch of questions to ask. First off, he has to find out where the sleeping incense is. The incense is made by the famous huang family, which owns a pharmacy in the same neighborhood as the murder scene. The manager also has to ask about the whereabouts of Mr. Juexin, who's supposed to be at home. Finally, the manager has to figure out why the maid is so alert. He asks about the pair of shoes that the murderer bought, and finds out that the shoes belonged to the murderer's sister. He also learns that the killer's son is now the master of the family, and that the woman who bought the shoes thought that the kid was an orphan
