The scene opens in a hotel room, where the Governess and her ladies-in-waiting are waiting for xiaoli. The Governess asks the ladies if they would like to check out the rooms, and they all agree that the rooms are very clean. She asks the waiter to arrange the rooms for them, but the waiter refuses, saying that he already has water in his room. She then tells the ladies that she already has a bath in her room, and she is afraid that the water will be cold, so they should go back and take a bath. The ladies are shocked to find that the waiter has come back to the room to read a medical book, but he is not a doctor, and so they ask him why he came back, and he says that he was confused by a problem. He then tells them that he has enough time to get a bath, and that he will see all of their bodies. He asks if they can hear from outside, and the ladies are amazed that he brought the long ear, which they think is a sign that he is a doctor
