In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named Gu, who is a senior student at the University of Hong Kong. He has applied to participate in a training camp at the "killer whale" team, which is a professional basketball team based in the United States. Gu's coach, Lin, is furious with Gu for being undisciplined and unorganized. He tells Gu that he has no choice but to leave the team because he is not good enough to replace him. Gu apologizes and says that he will never mess with the game of basketball again.
