In the final seconds of the game, the Binhai University team is trailing by one point. The screech thud team is using its veteran team, the Nanyang University, as a one-man defense against the binhai side. The top player of the team, Ye Ming, has not yet appeared in the game. Ye Ming's lack of appearance may be a sign that the coach and Ye Ming are not on the same page. The coach asks for a time out, but Ye Ming refuses to listen to the coach's instructions. Ye Ling, the head coach of the basketball team, is counting the last ball on Ye Ming. He realizes that Ye Ming is not moving, and that the ball is in the possession of Nanyang university. He believes Ye Ming to be the best player on the team.
