My Boss's Kitten

It's morning, and Shmoop is getting ready to go to work. He's happy to be dressed, but he's worried that he looks too childish. He wonders if they should go for a walk through a historical site or a shrine, since he'd like to see more of the world. He also wants to see the fireworks at night, so he'll have to wait until the next day. He says he wants to go on the date in a "yukata" , which is a traditional Japanese costume, at the festival, so it's nice to be able to do both at once . He thinks it'll be a shame to take off his yukata, though, since it looks so good. He tells us that he used to have a dream about going on a date with a girl in the yukata , but now he can't bring himself to do it. He thanks the guy for waiting for him, and says that the fireworks are about to begin, so they can all enjoy them together. Shmoopers, however, are worried that no one will be watching them, since they're not wearing their yukatas. They're worried that someone will see them, and they'll think that they've seen the wrong person. They don't want to get into a fight, though , because they'd all like to be together.
