It's the morning of the next day's work meeting, and we're introduced to the protagonist, a young man who has just finished his first day at work. He's excited to be at work, but he's also worried about what's going on with his boss, who's trying to get him to do something sexual with another woman. The protagonist is a little worried, because the boss seems to be having an affair with him, and he doesn't know how to handle it. He also worries about what the other woman will think of him, since his divorce from his first wife has been three years old. He decides to move out of his boss's office and into his own.
