In this short scene, the young lovers discuss their feelings for one another. The narrator tells the audience that he believes that love is real and that the two of them are destined to be together. He then tells the story of how he fell in love with a girl at the age of thirteen, and how he has changed his major in order to be closer to her. He asks the girl if she believes in love, and the girl replies that she does. She then tells him that she has been waiting for him for a long time, and that she still has some school work to do. The girl tells the narrator that her uncle has called to see her, and she asks him to go with her to the bar with her. The uncle tells the girl that he has another troublemaker at the bar, and he tells her that he will be right there with her, but that he can't kick the man out because he just went there to woo someone. The young lovers then discuss whether or not they think that the girl will get jealous of the man, and they agree that she will.
