This chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which Caixin learns that his sister has been accused of plagiarizing another's work. Caixin's sister, who is now named Shu Bi, is shocked to learn that Caixin is trying to cover up his sister's misdeeds. She is also shocked to find out that her brother-in-law has been neglecting his duties as a father and a husband. She tells Caixin that he should obey her as long as he is alive.
