It's hot outside, and the wind is blowing so hard that it's hard to hear what's going on in the house. Worried that her father is going to be mad at her for bringing the cat into the house, she tries to talk to him. She tells him that she's sure he'll forgive her, but that she won't be able to convince him otherwise. He's not listening to her, she tells him, because he didn't attend school properly when they first moved in together. He tells her that he doesn't need her to worry about his grades, since he's just trying to figure out if there's still hope to save the child. He asks if the family has ever raised other pets before, and she says that when she first moved to the family, she brought her favorite cat with her, and brother yi took care of the cat as well. He took his medicine, fell asleep, and woke up the next morning. His father asked the servants to take the cat away, but the servant told him that he was afraid that it would affect his brother's health, so he passed away the next two years. The cat is still there, and shu pushes him out of the way so he can enjoy the sunlight. shu tells him to throw the cat out immediately.
