About This Chapter
The Governess asks the Governess if she can help her find her daughter. She says that she has been nice to her, but that she does not want to be alone. She wants to protect her daughter, so that she will not be alone when she needs someone to look after her when she is away. She asks if she will protect him, too, because he is a member of the same family as hers. She tells him that sometimes a man has to do things that he doesnt want to do. He tells her that he is proud of that, and she asks if he will protect her, too. He says that he will, and he asks her to protect him too, since he is one of the family. He asks her if she would protect him if he were to leave her alone. He then asks her whether she would do the same thing if she were to go to another man. She replies that she would. She then asks him why he was there that night. He answers that he wanted to know what the hell was wrong with him, and that he knew that he was a freak. He was selling blood transfusc fusions. He is in terrible shape, she tells him. She accuses him of selling their blood, saying that she saw the girl herself and that she was dead. He denies that, but she says that if he did not kill her, she would not deny death. She goes on to say that she knows that izzy was a good kid, but he was not a part of the "fringe" of society. She also says that izsak is sick and needs to be taken care of. She is afraid that his friend will find out about the blood transfusions and will kill izzy. She
