About This Chapter
The next morning, the boys go to the theater, but not before one of them asks to be let out of the house so that he can pee. The other boys, however, are not allowed to leave the house, so they have to sneak out to pee in the bushes. The boys are bummed that they are late, but they are happy that they have been let out so that they can go pee. As they are about to leave, one of the boys asks where the other boys have gone, and the boys tell him that they left the theater to go to a show. The boy tells the boy that he needs to see his friend, who is waiting for him at the door. The two of them talk for a while, until the boy realizes that he has been eavesdropping on the conversation. He asks the boy if he is a fan of faust, or if he has any idea what he is dealing with. He tells him that if he does not leave, he gets to make him apologize. He says that he doesn't like to pick fights with younger people, and that this is his last chance to do so. He suggests that the boy take leave, but the boy refuses, saying that things are starting to say "good night human" . He calls the boy a "click cough pan cough" , and says he is here to see the girl. He is a friend of Izsak's, and he is annoyed that people keep calling him "rude" and "new in town" when he is welcome in the neighborhood. He explains that he is not rude to anyone younger than him, but that he does like to make sure that his girls are safe. He adds that he knows other people call him "the next guy," and that he himself is as "dead" as the "next guy." The boy asks if the girl is new in town, or just "new to the scene," and the boy says that she is up in 324 and that she will not be
