The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the game, in which the two young men are playing together. The flashback shows that the two men are still friends, despite the fact that they have lost their memory of each other. The two men argue about whether or not they should continue to play the game. The young men decide that killing the immortal is the most popular game on the market, and the only way to stop it is to destroy it. They decide to kill the game in order to save the life of their father, who is the game's creator.
