This chapter opens with a soliloquy by Luohong, who has just returned from a month's business trip with Towl. He laments that he will be away from home for a month and wonders why he hasn't been told of his impending departure. He wonders if nightowl has locked up other idols in order to keep him at home. He also wonders if the mysterious relief under the nightowl's cloths is actually a relief from his loneliness. He thinks that nightowl would like to send him a flower fertilizer so that he can live happily ever after. He then turns his attention to the unfinished building of Eden, which Towl is building for him. He tells the young man to clap his hands if he is happy and if he knows it, he claps his hands and he really wants to show it. He says that love has "nodled y our mind" and that only by following these three simple questions can one express one's emotions clearly. He adds that the sugar daddy has fallen in love with him, and that even if he can't love her in the end, he can still follow her and sing for her and make a living. The young man then turns to nightingale and asks him if he has him up. Nightingale says that he even complimented the songs of the young men, and if not, he would be happy to sign with the royal entertainment company. He asks if the leg-shaking man would be interested in signing with the company, and the man replies that he would rather not sign with them, since he doesn't want to be caught on the cover-up. He decides to look into the matter further.
