In this chapter, we learn that Miss Xiaopu is not allowed to perform her song, "Rainbow Light," because the song was previously banned by the then-deposed crown prince. In fact, the song's creator, the deposed prince's son, wrote the song to his own child, who is now a young prince. The young prince, however, has said that the song is OK, and the song will be allowed to be performed in the upcoming performance of the song. We learn that the original song was written by a man named jingsheng, who was a member of the bridge group that raised an orphan boy. The song was a big hit back then, and he died breathless and dying. This is the kind of song that the young prince would like to hear on the stage. The narrator then tells us that the previous day, the anti-crown prince party and the fan club had a fight, and thirty people were killed and twenty were injured. This shows that the second prince is involved in all of this, and that the crown prince is just a wimp.
