This chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which we learn that the villain, who we now call "quan mang," was once the brother of Emperor Xianxian. The villain is now known as "evil quan quing," or "the legendary vicious . . evil . quing." He is also known as the "disgraceful old man" and the "filthy old man." We learn that he has been living in exile for the past nine years, and that he is now "invulnerable no one except quing" . The evil quisling asks the escapee to come back to the house and exchange love letters with him. The escapee is not interested in exchanging love letters, but he does not want to leave the house. He asks the woman if she knows who he would like to marry. The woman tells him that she knows the man, but that she has not taken her eyes off him in the house for nine years. She tells the man that if he doesn't marry her, she will not be able to go out. The man tells the woman that if she does not go out with him, she can still talk to other people who are still single, and they will be willing to spend the day with her if she did not leave. He tells her that the only way they can go out today is if they don't have a match. He says that if they do, he will still go out, because he is not going out with a "dangerous ex - convict." The woman asks the man if he is still waiting for them, but the man says that it is not him, but someone else waiting for someone else. She asks if the man is afraid that he exposed her last night, and the man replies that he was just waiting to explain himself. She says that according to legend, only two lovers can pass the cupid temple and win the lottery. The two men decide to go to the temple to find out if they can win.
