In a soliloquy, Desdemona laments the fact that her brother is still too powerful to be defeated. She says that the time has come for vengeance, and that she will lock him in this place forever. She tells her brother that he is thinking of merging with a human, and he says that he will never partner with a living being. He says that it is time to cut his ties to his brother. He tells her that after some research, he learned that the "most spirit activity" takes place in Bern. He also says that his little brother has been kidnapped by a "supernatural being" and that he needs her help rescuing him. He asks her to show her parents the photo of her from the poster with the missing person's description. He wants her to know that he was taken to a place called the "Alps," where people mysteriously disappear. He adds that the police and the people of the area do not have any explanation for the disappearances. He goes on to say that he has been looking for his brother, and now that he knows, he wants to go.
