This is a locked chapterVol.2 Chapter 10: A Mother's Cry
About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the spirit seeking Arislady is her mother, and that she is trying to protect her child from the evil that has befallen him. The spirit, however, is not seeking her child; she is seeking her own child, and she is afraid that she will never see her child again. She tries to comfort her daughter by telling her that the paralysis in her body is going away, and the plants are dying. She also tells her daughter that she should be careful with her flute, as she is a spirit, and not a sounder. She says that she wants to live again, but that she has never told her anything from her life as a person. This is why she calls herself "crimson" and not "sounder" .
