Sophie arrives at the barber's shop and asks to be let in. The barber tells her not to worry, as he'll take care of her. The two of them sit down to talk, and sophie tells the barber that she's having a hard time adjusting to her new surroundings. She tells him that she doesn't know how to handle the situation herself, but she does know that her father can't help her. She says that she looks like her sister, who was her age when she was a child. She also says that the barber is too big a fish to handle a small child, so she'll be fine.
