In this chapter, Isabella introduces us to her new pet rooster, who she calls the "grandpa swamp" . We learn that Isabella's father owns a pig farm and that her mother has been caring for it since she left. We also learn that her father is a cleaner and that she has a favorite room in the house, which she calls her "pa's study." Isabella then shows us her favorite room, which is the bedroom she shares with her father. She also tells us that she likes to listen to music, especially to her father's sonny, who is her husband.
