In this short scene, we learn that the father of a little boy named wang has come to visit the uncle of another little boy, who is also a member of the same ethnic group as wang. The uncle tells the father that he wants wang to study at his college, and the father agrees to enroll wang in his school. The father is shocked that his son has agreed to such an arrangement, and he is even more shocked when he learns that the little boy will be a transfer student and that he is half-yu, or half-human.
