The next morning, the gang tries to figure out what's wrong with Mr. Manette. He's got a red mark all over his face, and his dad slapped him the last time they saw each other . He doesn't want to tell anyone about it, so he buys a new coat for him. They're having dinner together, and they're all super-excited to be home. When they get home, they all freak out over the fact that they've just had dinner, and that they can all head home early after work. They don't have to work extra hours today, so they can hang out with their friends and have a good time.
