At the fake betrothal, Fang and Shuoping chase after the two women, who are running in the opposite direction from the stage door. They find that the door has been left open, and that the back door has also been left unlocked. Fang is upset, because he thought he had locked the door correctly, but he realizes now that he did not. He blames himself for not teaching her how to properly lock the door, and he is annoyed that she is still in love with another man.
