When the chapter opens, a young woman named Nana is on her way home from a practice session with her taekwondo instructor. She's super excited about the prospect of practicing with her instructor, but she's not into the idea of romantic relationships when she grows up. She wants to be "more powerful than boys" . She tells her teacher that she wants to "look at another direction" , and that's exactly what she wants: to look at a different direction. The teacher tells her that she can't do that, because she has other things to do, and she gets rejected by the girl she just passed by.
