He says that even a mouse can scare him off, but that he can't trust the boy because he hasn't seen the full extent of his power. The boy says that he doesn't want to use the light from the lamp because it's too dark for the ghost to see him, but the ghost says that's just a joke. He asks the boy why he let the ghost damage the wall, and the boy replies that it was his home. The ghost asks if the boy is joking about it, and he replies that he is. The kid says that the ghost really likes him, and that the boy will not drive him out of his home, or die trying
