Everyone has left, and now tetsu has lost his umbrella. He's going to pick up suzu and take care of her. He tells us that there was a school accident where a girl drowned in the pool, and that's why he can't breathe in the water. He says he's sorry for scaring his family, but he'll tell them about it later. He also tells them that he has formed a pact with Harumichi and others to protect her, but they haven't heard of it yet. He hopes that they won't be too angry at her for this, because she's not their problem anymore. He goes on to say that his fever has gone down, and he came to see him. He wants to see his daughter, but she didn't say anything to him. She just asked if he was all right. He asks her if he would stop coming, and she says that he would have freaked out if he hadn't come back. She's never shown any emotion, and so he asks her to be his personal housekeeper. He promises that if this ever happens again, he will make sure that she is "sufficiently sated" .
