Terrified, Mel rushes out of the office and into the hallway. Terrified that she has been transformed into a monster, she tries to calm her down, but she is unable to control her fear. She realizes that the elevator is moving up, and that she must press the floor to get to the other side of the room. Terri's fear is confirmed when she sees a cross outside the door. Terri tries to get back inside, but the elevator creaks, and she realizes that they are going to abandon their ritual. Terri screams for help, and the door opens, revealing a dead body. Terri desperately tries to communicate with her lover, but he is too far away to hear her. Terri realizes that he has no other way to communicate, and they have no way of communicating with each other.
