This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, where the demon is being chased by the beast. The demon is shocked to see that the beast is alive, and he tries to kill the beast with a knife. The beast, however, does not want to be killed, and so he stabs the demon in the neck. The monster dies, and the monster thanks the teacher for healing him. The teacher tells the monster that the journey to the promised land is still long, and that the police should come any minute to apprehend the beast
