In this short scene, erde introduces us to his friends, melissa and Mel. He explains that they're here to play a game called "The Lift Ritual." It's a game that originated in South Korea, and if they succeed, they can travel to the other side of the world. He tells us that they need to find a 10 floor elevator with a do, and then he'll show them how to use the do to travel to another part of the universe. He warns them to be careful with the angle of the camera, because there will be one on his face and one on the elevator itself. He also tells them to quit smoking, and to get rid of the bad habit of smoking. He's worried that they might get into trouble for being too lewd, but he doesn't think they'll. He says that young people tend to die early because of smoking, so they should hurry up and quit smoking. They roll the elevator, and Mel asks why they have to do it at midnight, when the gates to hell are supposed to be connected to the gates of our world. Mel says that 12 midnight seems to be the time when gates of hell connect to our world, and that they should do this ritual at midnight because it's said that midnight is the time of the gates that connect to hell. Mel asks if they've done the ritual correctly, and she says that they haven't. She asks him if he's playing around with her, and he says that he got a security guard to help him.
