In this short scene, we are introduced to the protagonist, a young man named Fukush eigo, and his companions, Patrick roon and the unnamed "ritter art" . Fukush is driving his car through the forest when the engine suddenly begins to rumble. The car is in such a state of disrepair that he is forced to return home to his mother, who is yelling at him. When he arrives at his mother's house, the smell of the house is so bad that he can barely breathe. He asks his mother for water to help him get back to his car, but his mother refuses to give him any water. The house is dark and dusty, and the only light is a 5 watt candle. He is unable to find his way back to the car because his feet are weak.
