In this chapter, we learn that the gods of envy, gluttony, pride, and destruction have all fallen prey to the lure of greed. We learn that greed is the root of all evil, and that the only way to stop it is to get rid of it. In other words, if you want to be rid of greed, you have to stop being a greedy, gluttonous, and selfish human being. We also learn that in order to stop envy, you need to be a glutton, a pride-loving human being, and a god of emotions. This is why, in the previous chapters, we've learned that gluttony and pride are two of the seven sins of the human race. We've also learned that greed and gluttony are also the root causes of evil in the form of envy. This means that if you're a glutton and a prideful human being , you've got a lot to lose in this battle.
