The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the novel, when wutong was lost and lonely. He was afraid that the god of destruction was lurking in his soul. He and his friend decided to stay away from the god, but then they met and fell in love with one another. The two of them had a brief moment of happiness, and then they had to leave.
