In this chapter, we learn that the god of war and his wife have come to the Forest of Life to meet with the butterfly goddess. The butterfly goddess is the key to the battle, because she will be able to rescue the father of the gods who has been killed in the battle. The scene ends with a soliloquy by the hero, in which he tells the audience that he has learned to act cool in order to protect his family from the evil of the sea god.
