This chapter opens with a soliloquy by the god of destruction, in which he argues that it is time for the god realm to expand. The god of sea god disagrees, saying that expanding the god population will shake the foundations of the god kingdom. The sea god, however, argues that the expansion must be done at the general meeting of the gods. He suggests that they improve the process of succession for the gods, so that a new member of the family will join the family instead of the old one. The goddess of life congratulates the sea god on his second child, and the two men discuss the conflict between evil and destruction
