In this chapter, we learn that the "switch demon" is dead, and that the switch has been replaced by a "button demon" . The switch demon is following the protagonist, and the protagonist realizes that it is the protagonist's sister, Sinh-Wei, who is responsible for the whole incident. The protagonist begs the protagonist not to tell anyone about the incident, but the protagonist refuses, saying that a friend of his can find out the identity of the switch demon. He promises to make the protagonist public if the protagonist gives him the switch back
