About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the switch demon is stronger than he expected, and that he has killed many people in his hands. He tells us that he used to think he was punishing the "scum of the world" as an impostor, but now he realizes that "curbing violence with violence" isn't enough to maintain justice. He says that sending Sikonwu to kill him was the biggest failure, because she was full of "resentment" , and after releasing that resentment, reason finally came to rescue her. He also says that the strongest impostor in the world is him, because he doesn't have any "small-time hatred" in his heart. The only difference between him and other people, he says, is that he's too perfect. He adds that there's always a "trace of insignificant hatred" inside of him, but he is too perfect to have any of it. The chapter ends with a soliloquy in which mumu says that she's going to watch the meteor shower on the 20th.
