The servant tries to change the locks, but the owner refuses to open the door himself. The two of them continue their conversation, and the servant tells the owner that he can't stop until they finish. The owner tells him that he slaps the servant so hard that the servant can tell how hard the man slaps him. The scene ends with the two men talking about the kimonos that they've made for each other. The man tells the woman that he's going to put the kimono on her before the festival. The woman says that she'll do her best to make sure that everyone is dressed up for the festival too. The narrator tells the story of how he was nervous about dressing up, but he learned how to do it at home. The day of the festival came, and everyone was happy to see him. He says that he bought a little something for his daughter, who is a member of the club. He thanks the woman for all of her hard work, and she says that everyone was very happy when they came to pick up the things she made for them
