The narrator tells us that he and Huck are walking down the street and that Huck has come to see him. Huck says that he's glad that he got to see Huck because he always regrets that he spent so much time with him when they were in school. Huck tells the narrator that he feels like an idiot when he thinks about how much fun it was to spend time with Huck when he was a boy. He says that when he got a boyfriend in high school, he felt like he was being jeal. Huck feels like he has taken a detour and that he still likes Huck. Huck thinks that Huck is an idiot, but he also thinks that he is still in love with him.
