The scene opens with Hiroshi Nishi thanking his servant for everything that he has done for him. The servant tells him that he is drunk and that he should go home. Hiroshi replies that he will not go home because his house is too big for him to live alone. He tells her that he told her many times that he did not want her to live in his house. He asks her why she is still with him, and she replies that she is going to live with him in his place.
